1. Overview
FanSpot uses cookies and similar technologies to run the platform, keep accounts secure, improve site performance, personalize creator recommendations, and support marketing where permitted by law.
Some cookies are essential for FanSpot to work properly. Other cookies are optional. FanSpot uses a strict global setup: essential cookies are always on, and optional cookies are not intentionally loaded unless the user allows them where consent is required.
Users can accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or customize their choices. Users can change or withdraw cookie choices at any time through Cookie Settings.
2. Essential Cookies — Always On
Essential cookies are required for FanSpot to work properly. They help with secure login, account sessions, checkout, fraud prevention, platform safety, moderation tools, privacy preference storage, cookie consent storage, and protecting the integrity of FanSpot services.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled through FanSpot cookie settings because the platform may not function without them. Users may block cookies through their browser, but doing so may break login, security, checkout, subscriptions, creator tools, and account settings.
3. Functional Cookies — Optional
Functional cookies remember preferences and interface choices. These may include language, currency, display settings, theme preferences, sensitive-content blur settings, dismissed banners, dashboard preferences, notification settings, and similar platform preferences.
If functional cookies are disabled, some convenience features may not remember user choices.
4. Analytics & Performance Cookies — Optional
Analytics and performance cookies help FanSpot understand how the platform is used and how it performs.
These cookies may help measure page traffic, most visited and least visited areas of the website, signup flow performance, checkout issues, creator application drop-offs, loading errors, feature usage, performance issues, and product quality.
FanSpot uses this information to improve site quality, fix problems, and build better tools for fans and creators.
5. Personalization & Recommendation Cookies — Optional
Personalization and recommendation cookies help FanSpot recommend creators, categories, posts, shops, and platform areas based on how users interact with FanSpot.
This may include creators a user follows, creator pages a user visits, categories a user browses, posts or shop pages a user interacts with, and similar activity on FanSpot.
FanSpot keeps this category separate from marketing cookies. A user may allow FanSpot to improve on-platform recommendations without allowing advertising or marketing tracking.
6. Marketing Cookies — Optional
Marketing cookies help FanSpot measure and improve marketing campaigns, referral campaigns, creator outreach, promotional performance, and advertising where permitted by law.
Marketing cookies may help FanSpot show or measure personalized advertising for FanSpot services, creator recommendations, referral campaigns, or FanSpot promotions based on activity and preferences where allowed.
Users can reject or disable Marketing Cookies through Cookie Settings and the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
7. Local Storage and Similar Technologies
FanSpot may use local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, device identifiers, browser identifiers, log data, and similar technologies. This Cookie Policy treats those technologies like cookies when they are used for similar purposes.
8. No Optional Cookies Before Choice
FanSpot will not intentionally load optional analytics, personalization, recommendation, or marketing cookies until the user accepts the applicable category where consent is required.
Essential cookies may still operate because they are required for login, security, fraud prevention, checkout, privacy choices, and core platform functionality.
9. Safety Restrictions
FanSpot does not use advertising or recommendation cookies to target minors, infer sensitive traits, or promote restricted content to users who are not eligible to access it.
If FanSpot enables age-restricted areas, cookies may support age-access controls, but cookies do not replace identity checks, age checks, processor requirements, legal requirements, or platform safety review.
10. Third Parties
If FanSpot later uses analytics, advertising, payment, identity verification, fraud prevention, customer support, hosting, or embedded content providers, those providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.
FanSpot should not add third-party analytics, marketing, advertising, or retargeting scripts unless they are connected to the Cookie Settings system and blocked until the relevant consent is granted.
11. Changing Choices
Users can change choices at any time through Cookie Settings.
Users may also use browser controls to block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may cause FanSpot to stop working correctly.
12. Do Not Sell or Share
FanSpot provides a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page for users who want to opt out of marketing cookies, targeted advertising-style activity, sale/share activity, or cross-context behavioural advertising where applicable.
FanSpot does not currently sell personal information for money. If FanSpot later uses advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising tools, users can disable Marketing Cookies.
13. Updates
FanSpot may update this Cookie Policy as the platform, providers, laws, or cookie practices change. The Last Updated date will show the latest update.
